What is a story?

A story can be anything you want it to be, it can be something out of your daily life or a memorable holiday or just sit down and let your imagination run free and write whatever the moment brings.  The only requirement we ask for is that the story includes the words requested for that particular job and that its 400 words or more, the rest is entirely up to you.

Quick Tour

When signing up you will be asked to create a username and password each time you log in you will be asked for this information, how much you earn is entirely up to you.  You will earn money for each story you write, the current payments are:

• 1-100 stories: 25p
• 101-300 stories: 50p
• 301-500 stories: 75p
• 500+ stories: £1.00

To earn even more money with us, spread the word among your family and friends, even get your kids involved and get them to earn their own pocket money or spending money for the summer holidays.  For every person you recommend you will get 10% of their income per story. There is no limit to how many stories you and your friends can write.

On your home page you will see an up to date balance of all the monies you have earned once your balance reaches £10.00 you can receive payment anytime you wish to after that, payment can be made to you either via PAYPAL or via cheque (if via cheque you will need to submit the details of who the cheque is to be made payable to and the address it is to be sent to)

When signing up you will be asked for a referral code, this is where you enter the code of the person who recommended this site to you, every person who signs up to Work-Online is given their own unique referral code, so make sure when your friends and family sign up that you have given them your code and they have entered it for you to start receiving your 10% bonus.

How It Works

Once you have registered you are then ready to start writing and earning money, all you need to do is go to the job board and select a job you wish to do the words that are required for that particular story will be displayed on that page so you can choose whichever job you would like to base your story around.  Whilst typing your story the page will automatically count down how many of the required words are still needed until you have included them all.  Also there is an automatic word count so there is no need to sit and count up all the words you have typed.  Once you have completed your story just click on submit and your story will then be submitted to the Site Administrator for approval, here it will be proof read and checked for copyright and appropriate content i.e. for all stories that are not adult content approved no bad language or vulgarity will be allowed.  Once approved by the Site Administrator your Work-online account will be credited with the monies for that story.

Transferring Money

Once your balance has reached the £10.00 minimum limit you can request payment at anytime.  It is entirely up to you which payment method you prefer to choose at that time.

Option 1. PayPal

PayPal is an online account that people use to transfer money, it can be used to buy products online or transfer money into your bank account and is a trusted site and is completely secure.  There is also a new product that PayPal have just brought out which is a PayPal debit card, instead of using your PayPal account to just shop online you can now request a visa card that can be used anywhere that accepts visa, all you need to do is request with PayPal the amount that you wish to be transferred to the card and the card will then be credited with that amount and you can use the card at your leisure.  Alternatively you can transfer the money from your PayPal account into your own bank account or use it to shop online.

Option 2. Cheque

If you would like to be paid by cheque you will asked to fill in the details of who the cheque is to be made payable to and also the address that you wish the cheque to be sent to.

As we have said before at no time will we request any money from yourself and no deduction from your earnings will be taken what you earn is what you will receive.
