Example story 1
Last year we decided to go on a camping holiday, we couldn't make up our minds on whether we wanted to stay in a caravan or tent. The home from home luxuries of the caravan won and we ended up going away for two weeks and staying in a very modern caravan. The campsite was gorgeous and all the caravans were clean and well kept, the site was brilliant right by the sea and had all the amenities you could want for a camping holiday.
The weather wasn't that brilliant for some of the days which didn't put me off camping at all as we had our very well equipped caravan to stay in. When the weather brightened up which it did we were only a short walk away from the beach, the kids loved it and it was so clean there were even life guards on hand which gave us a great peace of mind.
The kids had a fantastic time and not one jellyfish insight, our days were filled of lying on the beach and playing games with the kids and a little shopping thrown in just to keep me happy.
We met some people who lived not too far from us back home our kids became friendly with theirs and we then looked forward to going down to the club each night to meet our new found friends.
The staff were brilliant with the kids and I could tell there was going to be a few tears from the kids when we left as they were getting very attached to them and also saying goodbye to all their new friends it wasn't going to be easy but we promised to keep in touch which we did and have met up a few times since.
So would I go camping again yes I would in fact we already booked next years holiday while we were there and so did our new friends we can't wait to see everyone again its like our second home.
Example story 2
The other day my friend came round to call for me he asked if I was allowed to go fishing with him and his dad, my mum wanted to know where we were going as she worries a lot. I told her we were going down to the river but my friends dad would be there so we would be safe she didn't have to worry, I think she thinks that I'm going to jump in on purpose not likely its too cold for that and there are more fish in the river than in the little brook by us.
I went and got all my fishing stuff and we headed off mum made me some sandwiches and drinks to take with me so I wouldn;t starve as she put it. When we got to the river we set up all our fishing tackle we sat down and I was already feeling hungry so I made a start on what mum had packed for me, by the time I had finished I had got a bite on the end of my fishing rod I thought to myself good timing or what. We started to reel it in it wasn't too hard so I knew it wasn't going to be the biggest fish anyone had caught although there had been some big fish caught in this river just not by me.
I had caught a chubb but not a fully grown one I unhooked it off my fishing line my friends dad took a picture of me holding it then I put it back In the river. It might not have been a big fish but I was so happy I had caught one and especially since I was the first one to on that day.
My friends dad caught the next one and it was a big one we all had to hold onto him I thought it was going to pull us all in the river it was putting up a right struggle, we finally reeled it in it was a fish called a pike and a big one at that, we took his photo with the pike and put it back in the river, the only person who didn't catch a fish was my friend but I told him not to worry as it was the start of the summer holidays so there would be loads more days for us to go fishing and I can't wait.
Example story 3
Yes at last the summer is finally here, the wonderful smells of all the flowers in bloom the fresh green grass being cut and all those tasty evening BBQ's. Everything seems so much happier even a simple walk in the park seems to make you smile. The sun gleaming off each and every blade of the green grass as it gently sways in the summer breeze, all that can be heard is the sound of children playing excitedly, dogs bounding across the grass after a ball that has been thrown or a random stick that they found and now can't bare to part with and laughter ringing in your ears from every avenue of park on that warm summer day.
Each day of the summer holidays has so much potential to be filled with new and wondrous things to do, whether it will be a trip to a theme park, a day a the beach, or just simply taking the dog for a walk up in the hills that are covered with miles of green grass a new place to discover on each walk, a new smell, a new sound a new shady patch to have 5 minutes under to get yourself out of that gleaming sun on that glorious summer day, and as the sun starts to set the grass gets darker another world of smells and sight is opened up to us, the fresh air of that summer night, the warmth that still lingers in each breeze as everything cools down to have a rest until tomorrow another fun filled summer day.
Then all to soon the days start to get shorter the sun gleams a little less each day the green shades of the grass get duller and darker as if it knows all too well that it too will no longer be basking on those warm summer days its all coming to an end. Children are no longer running around in the green grassy park they are too busy getting ready for school. All too soon those wonderful summer days are gone and winter is drawing upon us but not gone for good, we still have a summer of memories to keep us going until next year when it will all start over again.
